Horsemanship camp will concentrate on learning horsemanship skills and techniques, with an emphasis on safety and fun! It will be a great week with lots of time in the saddle. Camp is geared toward youth and will include hands on activities learning about equine health, nutrition, anatomy, and how to ride.
NMSU has 15 well-trained, gentle horses suitable for riders ranging in ability from beginning to advanced.
Several camps to choose from:
- Beginner Camp - $125 | 9 AM - 12 PM
- June 6 - 7
- June 9 - 10
- Closes: May 30 at 5 PM
- Advanced Camp - $200 | 9 AM - 4 PM
- June 20 - 21
- June 23 - 24
- Closes: June 13 at 5 PM
- Gymkhana Camp - $200 | 9 AM - 4 PM
- July 14 - 15
- July 18 - 19
- Closes: July 11 at 5 PM
- Note: Must have previously attended a camp or have previous riding experience and able to jog unassisted.
Registration: Online registration available to be paid with credit card or the mailing of a check.
